Warning for those who continue to ride on HSR closed trails

January 6th 2009

Warning for those who continue to ride on closed trails!

OPP are currently charging everyone with trespassing that continues to ride on closed trails. Please remain off closed trails.

Riding on CLOSED trails is unsafe and causes crop damage and loss of trails. OPENED GATES DO NOT MEAN TRAILS ARE OPEN FOR RIDING.

GATES ARE REQUIRED TO BE OPENED FOR  TRAIL MAINTENANCE AND PRE-GROOMING! Please check the Snow phone at 519-855-9686 or visit the OFSC web site  at www.ofsc.on.ca for trail conditions.

The Hillsburgh Snow  Roamers are doing everything possible to provide our riders with great trails. Please be patient and as soon as we receive enough snow and we can provide you a great ride we will open.

Thank you.

Trail Update

December 21st 2008

One small loop now open for riding. Please see www.ofsc.on.ca for trail condition updates.

Please respect the landowners and stay off property that is not staked or open for riding. OPEN GATES DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN TRAIL SECTIONS ARE  OPEN! Trail installation has once again started but will  take longer than usual due to the amount of snow. Please be patient as we are trying to give  everyone every opportunity for holiday sledding.

Trails are CLOSED

December 3rd 2008

 Why snowmobile trails are closed

Please respect our landowners and stay off closed trails.
Our trails are graciously lent to us by our landowners/ farmers and due to the amount of snow many of their crops remain on the trail system. Staking will commence when crops are removed.
We thank you in advance for helping preserve your beautiful trails!
Any questions please contact the office at 519-855-9686

A Note from the President

Welcome to the Hillsburgh Snow Roamers web site. Congratulations, you have taken the first step to finding out about our club. We are a proud club with over 35 years of improving the trail riding experience in the Hillsburgh / Erin area! Our volunteers, members, executive and sponsors know that this is one of the best and most scenic trail riding areas in the region. Take the next step, come out and find this out for yourselves and bring your family and friends! You’ll be back!
See you on the trails!
